I’ve always been of the opinion that all beings should be classified as #sentient up & until proven otherwise. Yet we the supposed superior have done it the opposite way. Always classified beings as being less than until science proved otherwise. And we have been proven wrong repeatedly. #vss365
I concur Bird. I'm of the opinion that many 'humans' have been given a free kick being classified as sentient while a great many other organisms are unfairly excluded purely based on humanity's poor communication skills.
Colonisation slavery and the sheer arrogance of white cultures presuming they were the highest life form. Now we discover trees talk and communicate. Plants make noise have language. Marine life is sentient along with most other life’s forms. I think it’s heart breaking the loss and our ignorance.

I watched an interview with a white guy describing black people as the equivalent of say beetles or insects as they weren’t in his opinion human beings capable of thought. 1950’s they were still being classified on a scale as apes or animals. Theres the answer right there. White people in power.
