Just found out that the Cobra Kai/Karate Kid producers are setting their sights on a Knight Rider reboot. Cautiously optimistic about that but still wary. Every attempt at a reboot has missed what made the original series good, and I'm worried those guys, as good as they are, are not going to get it
Also, for the record, the thing that every reboot gets wrong is that above all else Knight Rider is a Western.
You know, never thought about it that way. Granted, KITT now looks horribly dated tech wise.
KITT was supposed to be a modern horse They made him talk and gave him a personality so that it was conceivable for a person to have a relationship with their car. It was supposed to be the Lone Ranger updated for a generation of 80s kids growing up on technology.
Then KITT became Mr. Feeny. As an 80’s kid, that warped my brain something fierce.
