You’re right, SJ. I suppose we shouldn’t be. The UK system once again shows up its government and its entities as rank amateurs, with no real capacity for forethought or action. The UK is the idiot in a playground of bullies, the bullied and a few nice kids who say please a lot.

πŸ˜‰I can hear the little English boy saying, β€œOh please, sir!” πŸ˜†Yes, good analogy.

πŸ˜† Well I was actually thinking of those polite European leaders that have gone to DC to wag their fingers. I had envisaged the UK in the role of village idiot, mainly for things like leaving the EU and being blissfully unaware of a major Russian spy centre in London, until the EU sanctioned it.

My name is Susan and I lived in Portsmouth, England, with my husband who was an American Naval officer on exchange with the Royal Navy 1975-79. Apart from the dismal weather, I loved traveling around the UK and the people, but not impressed with the government. Times have changed for all of us.
