Maurene Comey (who I supervised) was the lead prosecutor on the only case to get justice for the Epstein victims. The case was botched by the Dist. FL US attorney Alex Acosta long ago. Maurene had the courage to take on a hard case that many wouldn’t have & she succeeded. That’s the story. Period.
Given all this, it is clear why #Felon47 needed to get rid of her. Here's to hearing from her next undertaking. AG of a state? Law firm representing victims? Run for Congress?

It wasn't botched by Acosta, it was deliberately submarined, tanked, sabotaged. In return, he was named Secretary of Labor.
I don’t think it’s a coincidence that she was fired at a time when her knowledge of who was involved the pedophile ring could be seen as a thread to a group of people.

I'm deeply grateful for Ms. Comey's determination, dedication to seeing justice for these victims. I endured a criminal case against my cop/father in the 70s and this is personal to me. The "botched" FL case is deplorable. #Maxwell belongs behind bars, full stop.

Great post. But remove "Period." It's only the end of the story if you allow it to be. For the sake of the Epstein victims -- and our on-life-support democracy -- find a way to bring full transparency to her work. Litigate the dismissal. Ask her to testify before Congress. Get into a knife fight.
