There are two choices with a virus: 1 Take the vaccine 2 Don't take the vaccine. [2] is dumb because: A. You get ill B. You give the virus to others C. Vulnerable people die D. You create a PUBLIC health problem. The science is very simple: vaccines are superb public health tools.
But they want the freedom to choose to suffer life long consequences or die, plus the freedom to force others to also suffer. Plus a healthier society costs less and is more productive but I doubt they could reach that logic even with covid's economic impacts happening to them a few years ago.
There are 2 critical elements to vaccination: 1 Personal protection from viral infection 2 Public health. [2] is a social good. The person you meet in a crowded place won't give you a virus cos they are vaccinated. Your child does not get measles because ALL the children at school are vaccinated.
