There really isn't a difference. The guy just said something that can easily be poked full of holes and people are desperately trying to plug those holes because they agree with the overall message of his post.

You don't see a difference between objective and subjective? Between concrete and open to interpretation? Between "What do you get when you multiply six by nine" and "Discuss how the character's experiences fighting in Europe affect his attitudes in the present day"?
