That's how it appears to me, too. If he can wrangle the redistricting, great. The social media hijinx are fun but it suffers from diminishing returns. What we really need is a lot of people trying out different tactics, and not just for entertainment purposes either.
The social media crap was funny exactly once. After that, we expect material action to be taken. Otherwise it's bringing a shitpost to a gun fight.
There hasn't been any material action from Newsom, that I'm aware of, except the redistricting. I think people are not aware how close we are to totalitarianism. Or maybe they are and don't care. Or maybe they want their own cult of personality...
