Costco ships a lot of stuff, so even if you aren't near a warehouse it can be a good place to have a membership. With the executive membership, I get access to insurance for my home and 2 cars that saves me $500/year. Great for appliances and furniture.

I've somehow trusted Costco more than any other grocery retailer. I have to admit, nothing more than a feeling. I even buy farmed salmon there, since Atlantic isn't available wild. I've been a "coupon-er" since '08 but most those deals have dried up so I moved more & more of my business to Costco
