Yeah it's the Regis again. If we count Dream Radar as a freebie, then it becomes WAY easier because while B2W2 lacks many mons that BW1 doesn't, it DOES have the main roadblocks - Glameow, Stunky, and the Regis.

don't b2w2 have more pokemon available anyway? :o (i know its missing white forest and a couple mons in other places but it seems like all of them are covered by having hg/ss) B2+W2+dream radar+a sinnoh+a johto... ah damn you still need both johtos or a hoenn for rayquaza

It sounds like B2W2+HGSS ALMOST works with Dream Radar, if we're counting the DPPt extensions as freebies too, but that's not really in the spirit of it. And, even then you need a Sinnoh for the starters.

The closest I can think of is B2W2+Dream Radar+HGSS+Platinum to have everything? HGSS covers the bulk, Plat covers Creation Trio and starters, B2W2 covers Unova stuff, Regis and Stunky/Glameow/Fossils, Dream Radar covers Forces of Nature. Notably, doesn't require a GBA in any capacity.

I'm not sure if I would count this as five games or not, but beating Dream Radar is way less of an obstacle than doing 80% of Emerald. Also imo DS/Lite req for Pal Park<3DS req for Dream Radar. Pokewalker comes with HGSS. So G5 Nat Dex is easier than G4 Nat Dex by a hair.

lost my pokewalker as a kid, never had RSE, my only ds lite is too worn out to actually use anymore, 3ds only g5 natdex was MILES easier in my case and i still had to phone a friend for teddiursa and groudon for my heartgold

Tbf losing the Pokewalker is kind of a you problem since it literally came with the game, on the other hand G4 Nat Dex REQUIRING Pal Park which only worked with the first two consoles in the DS family must have been a huge kick in the pants to anyone who made the reasonable choice of having a DSi
