I know reality is hard for some to understand but one of the huge reasons that young people, new couples and others can't find a reasonable priced apartment in this city is that these laws permentantly lock up 45% of the cities rental housing into ever deteriorating crap leaving mkt rates to soar
Sure, but you were implying that if someone has political ambition or a possible future job that pays well, they shouldn’t be allowed to get a rent controlled apartment….
I am not implying or saying that - I am saying the entire current regulatory framework (instituted by Cuomo BTW) is completely flawed, entirely unsustainable, ultimately bad for almost everyone and should be exposed as such.
