Trying to use this edge case, constitutional controversy to thereafter claim that it's the proximate cause or point of no return for every constitutional abuse of rights and law thereafter is MAGA level nonsense

I’m merely trying to provide more information about what the person above is commenting on, and not just taking their word. People can read for themselves and form an opinion.

And I am merely saying the original comparison was ridiculous and providing more information doesn't help it

But it was wrong, right? It’s ok for us as a society to admit wrongs or actions that could use further reform. To turn a blind eye because it’s not helpful for our argument makes us no better than the fascists. This act doesn’t compare to what’s occurring today, but it was still wrong.

Idk if it was "wrong", I don't have all the Intel but Im not comfortable with extra judicial killings of American citizens (or anyone really) But regardless it's a false equivalency and a distraction from the OP

I voted for Obama, and would do it again. No candidate is perfect, and every president has had their missteps. We need to get over this idea of a perfect president/candidate, and once past the primaries our votes is for the best qualified candidate to better our nation.

Our Founding Fathers constructed the Constitution with co- equal branches of government with Checks and Balances to protect against tyranny. The Republican controlled Congress is complicit because they have willfully surrendered their Constitutional powers to Trump.

Another example is Trump declaring a crime emergency in DC- the list goes on how the Republican controlled Congress has rolled over in support of Trump ruling by Executive Orders, bogus Declarations and Invovacatibg Acts which have no substantial supporting evidence reality.

The aftermentioned is one example of the Republican controlled Congress surrendering Constitutional powers to Trump's declaring a foreign invasion in order invoke the Alien and Sedition Act of 1918 for the purpose of expanding ICE to capture and expel individuals from a minority group-

The Constitution grants the House to generate revenue bills including taxes & tariffs & regulate foreign commerce. Trump invoked International Economic Emergency Powers Act on a bogus Declaration of a national economic emergency, due to the US under an extraordinary threat to US national security.

The Declaration and the ensuing Act were unsubstantiated. The Republican majority House surrendered its Constitutional powers to Trump, eliminating Checks and Balance, centralizing power to the Executive and are complicit in the raising of a National Sales tax.
