Glad you asked the question, because I was going to comment about leading with video. This is also why you don't have to stress about the fact that audio will never time sync perfectly to a frame. Just make sure you account for drift every few measures.

This makes so much sense to me! I always thought that I was just doing something wrong and/or my perception was just weird—I never felt 100% confident when putting things "out of sync" 😅

There's also display latency which can make the frames display on your screen quite a bit later than you'd expect.
