But beyond that, a belief that there are no gods is still a belief. We have no facts in evidence either way. An affirmative belief in the nonexistence of something is actually not that different than an affirmative belief in the existence of something.

Honestly can’t tell if you’re mocking or not but being ‘sure’ about something is an ‘affirmative belief’. You are affirming that the claim you are making is true. That is a belief.

Hm, I’m pretty sure it’s mocking b/c you cut an important word from my comment. “affirmative belief in THE nonexistence (of something”. You believe (clearly quite strongly) that a specific thing (for which there is a concept) does not exist.
