My hubby used to drive down to climb when he was in his teens and 20s. Extended Family also used to vacation every summer at housekeeping camp. We are about 4 hours away.

When we were young we stayed in housekeeping and when older I used various camp sites. Oh how I loved housekeeping! The smell of ivory soap at the shower house, the river, the bridge! I live in VA now and miss it. I go back every 2 years to hike and camp. Thank you for the fond memories!
