I too have deep experience with the people you’re talking about. It’s not that there’s not some truth in what you’re saying. You’re entitled to your justified resentments, but don’t confuse it with politics or analysis—or you’re just doing the mirror image of what the reactionaries are doing.

not nicer, it’s less reductionist. it has content and a reference point in history. it isn’t “thought-terminating cliche”, which is an extremely low bar but that is one of like 3 problems I had with posts like OP.
And what you are doing is thinking that if only we talked to these people the "right way" or helped them meet their needs they will come around. They wont. The deep and abiding hatred of city people who "think they know better" is beyond reaching. This is an unreachable socialist pipe dream.
