Norway is a resource-poor petrostate relying almost exclusively on financial capital. It lacks most forms of capital generally and remains one of Europe’s poorest nations. With nothing to invest in in Norway it invests oil money in parasitising foreign economies. It adds no value. Neoliberalism.
