Scalpers are going insane because it's FF, but so many ppl are ripping them to essentially just gamble to try and get chocobos or serialized cards. The same ppl that drop 5k a box for baseball cards chasing 1\1s, autos, etc. It prices out the overwhelming majority of fans and players in general.

I've been playing loads of the set IRL at @etbcanada.bsky.social and I can explain a bit of it: Obviously collector cache is there and people want their FF characters, but there is something weird happening. Since the FF collectors want characters, certain cards have become nion impossible to find.

Even at $700 I had a hard time thinking that this booster box would be worth it at the same time the prices for singles just keep going up! I am a Final Fantasy fan and Magic fan since Ice Age, I think a large part of this is the Final Fantasy community’s love for these characters. Sorry about it.😬
