Like Nayib Bukele/el Salvador, Kim Jung/NK, Viktor Orban/Hungary. 25 -30% of any society anywhere is Authoritarian aligned. Did a deep dive in 2016 and found a Monmouth U study that confirms.

It's shocking and sad, but true. Aren't all the horrible people in his admin wanting a dictator? They are fascists, all. Maybe they don't want him, but that's a discussion for another day.
