The final piece of steel being put in place for Cleveland’s Sohio Building, probably 1984. Curly black hair, bushy black mustache, gray hooded sweatshirt under a mud- or rust-caked jean jacket. Crazed look in his eyes. Iconic green Stanley thermos in the background. I stand next to him probably five or six years old holding up novelty bear claw slippers. Similar picture of my dad as before, now in coveralls. A portrait of me as a kid wearing a kids ironworkers union sweater.
