RIP Joe Bugner. Long time Bedford resident which has a long history of welcoming immigrants. Opened our local boxing club in Sandy in 1969 and an all round good guy.

There are some lovely tributes to Joe on the Bygone Bedford FB page including one that says 'He was best friend of my uncle sadly' and it's taking a monumental effort on my part to resist replying 'you had an uncle called Sadly?'
