"Judeo" got attached 60 yrs ago to justify imposing cherry picked OT restrictions. It is terribly convenient and very unchristian.

I mean, in this case they're quoting the Christian Bible (that the Old Testament is indeed a part of), so it doesn't seem that relevant.

If you re-read Leviticus, you'll see a whole bunch of *laws* that these political christians simply ignore (the food restrictions alone!) while a key theme of the NT is that the spirit of the law (love God and likewise love your neighbor) supersedes the law itself.

Right but that's not relevant when the NT says the same thing as an OT law, which as you highlight yourself is the case here.

Farage uses the OT to justify mistreating immigrants. The retort was only to reveal his hypocrisy. But I get it. You just want to reduce a valid debate maneuver into a pedantic argument. Not now - bye.
