You described yourself as an atheist and then mentioned your religion. You're very confused about atheism.

The Oxford definition is accurate. Atheism is about not believing in a god/goddess. NOTHING in that definition says anything about religion. I reiterate, there are a number of religions that do not require a belief in a god. You would do well to learn about them.

Not a Religion: It is crucial to understand that atheism is not a religion; it is a philosophical stance on a fundamental aspect of existence.

I never said atheism was a religion. You are trying to put words into my mouth. Oxford’s second definition reads: “a particular system of faith and worship.” The online amerikan dictionary lists eight definitions of the word, yet makes NO mention of god.

No I’m not. I can have a religion AND be an atheist. There are a number of religions that are inclusive of atheism. Your view is an expression of the blind faith I disdain.

Atheism is primarily defined as a lack of belief in gods or a supreme being. While it can sometimes be the position that there are no gods, it is more broadly understood as the simple absence of theistic belief, distinguishing it from theism (belief in a deity) and often theism's opposite.

Dictionary Definitions from Oxford Languages · a·the·ism noun disbelief or lack of belief in the existence of God or gods. Atheism is the antithesis of religion. You are a very confused individual. But you do you.

Atheism is NOT the antithesis of religion. It’s simply not accepting belief in a deity. It’s not a system of belief, or an organization of any kind. For the third and final time: THERE ARE A NUMBER OF RELIGIONS THAT DO NOT REQUIRE BELIEF IN A DEITY. Your inability to understand this is your problem.

This is an example of non-theistic religion thesatanictemple.com/pages/about-us Freedom of religion (where it exists) covers also this sort of case. People have a right to define their beliefs regardless of someone elses narrow definition. Unless all religion is covered and protected, none are.

Doesn’t matter to me, and shouldn’t matter to anyone else either. It’s everything or nothing at all.
