I wanted to send a gift card and went on the restaurant site (Burton's in Hingham, MA) that I've used before w/o issue. Entered my information, including credit card info, and then was asked by "Link by Stripe" to sign into my bank with my login and password. Needless to say, I passed.
I'm using a credit card! Why do you need me to log in to my bank? And now I'm getting emails to "complete my profile" on Link when I never made an account or asked for one. And I can't delete the "account" because I can't log in!
I guess the lesson is to try to figure out if Link is lurking when making a purchase BEFORE putting in any info. This is outrageous.
