Is there an alternative to PayPal that is legit where your information is respected? (sorry, not young enough to be hip to this stuff)

Just checked my options, I got 2 alternative choices (bunch of creditcards) and Apple Pay (don’t know it yet) or EPS - used it often, it’s like direct payment with your bank-account … works pretty good … but I‘ll do a research who owns what…
