It's the luck of the draw. I used to use "adieu" because of all the vowels until I realized that O was much more frequently used than either I or U. And that I could use some of the most frequently used consonants instead. But, it just depends on what matches to the word that day.

Seriously. My daughter uses “crave” and often solves it in less than I do—- but she’s also insanely competitive and takes her time! I don’t have a regular and just toss out whatever word comes to mind that day!
