I agree this would sorta help, but we are lacking the 24/7 monstrous propaganda machine the right has, where their talking points and narratives are on repeat every hour on the hour. We don't have a FOX, OAN or Newsmax, to name a few.

Right have mass media with echo chamber. But we have small talk, car sticker, brochure, business card, and millions other way to reach people. Messages that resonate with maga hase. What they worry about the most? Pick common point and drive it home. Nonjudgmental.

As one of its defining choices, the party chose to platform and promote Jill Stein, incl. for pres. in 2012, 2016, and 2024. I was an OG Green. Finally gave up on them. The name is great, the verbiage often sounds like “me”. Not so much the reality. I’d like to hear more about your take on them.

In Canada, the party that comes in 2nd in a federal election is known as the official opposition. It typically puts together a "shadow cabinet" so that each ministry has an opposition counterpart. In the daily media scrums, both the minister and her/his shadow opposition will be asked questions.

same here in Australia but these days the opposition (the right wing party) is interviewed as if they’re credible and have more authority to speak than the (more centric) government. Something to do with media ownership, billionaires, oligarchs I believe.

At least we don't have to deal with Rupert Murdoch. He tried to get a Fox-style channel going here but it had such low ratings that he pulled the plug on it.

That's exactly what's happening here. The last time Canadians elected the Conservative Party, the CP changed the law to allow foreign ownership of our news media. As a result, the odious creature who currently leads the Cons gets buffed up while the ruling Liberals get smeared relentlessly.

I saw an interview of PP. He came across as a thug without anything to say so he covered by being aggressive. Vile man.

There's a silver lining, though, in that the Con leader has been quoted by the media as supporting Donald Trump and the U.S. MAGA movement. With Trump now exceedingly unpopular in Canada, the polling #s for the Cons are tanking.
