They will continue his work. Because this is not just his project. It is literally a Project with a plan and a process laid out. Not that the project wouldn’t be dealt a blow. But Republicans are a fascist party now. The fight is against fascism and for democracy, not (just) against Trump.

If anything, they'd be even more effective at carrying it out because they're (well, with several exceptions) more competent. And they'd have to be even more ruthless because nobody has the cult leader charisma to pull off the unwavering devotion. Or perhaps they anoint Charlie Kirk. Who knows! 🤷🏻

I am far more worried about JDV ascending to the presidency. He would serve the rest of Trump’s term and be the incumbent and then if elected could serve an additional 8 years. He is competent, completely evil and a white nationalist. No one will be safe in JDV’s America.
Honestly, I don’t think it was *ever* his project. He was/is a racist narcissist who wanted everything that benefited him and him alone. Absolutely a fascist racist but he had no grand scheme other than his own personal aggrandizement. The project adopted him for its purposes, he was not a driver.
