I think a lot of women expect it but can't get it no matter what they do, which puts them in the position of choosing between eating shit with a mostly useless husband, or a decade of even worse suffering as a single mother with an untrustworthy baby daddy

it's a crapshoot either way, so I don't blame them for feeling lost. my dad was mostly useless and left to chase a floozy, but it still broke our family apart and severely damaged all of us
