Nice surprise from the lady at our repair cafe via Andy Mate. He passed them onto me in the pub tonight. I’ve been after a couple of these bubble seven segment LED displays for a while. Plus bonus boxed transistor.

Okay, so the LED display chips are Siemans DL440s, not HP 5082-7400s. The HP ones are red in colour, these are clear. Different pin out by the looks of it too. Still useful.

I hope so. A lot of the stuff that’s been given to us is new-old-stock. The lady’s late husband used to work for Marconi and Ferranti.
