I live in western Oregon, so astronomy here can be rather difficult much of the year. However, when it's clear and you can get up to the mountains, or better yet, out to the desert, it's spectacular. The southeast corner of the state is considered one of the 10 best dark sky regions in America.

The stars will be identical. The planets will be in different parts of the sky. Mars has a much thinner atmosphere, so very little "twinkling" and stars would be slightly brighter. And NO light pollution on Mars to degrade the view. The view atop a mountain on Earth would be closest we could get.
