i hope y'all don't mind me pointing out that Chinchillas are actually classified as lagomorphs as they are much more closely related to rabbits and hares than they are to rats and mice, and as such they are not rodents. besides that, your wee critter is super cute! 🥰
Actually, that's incorrect. Chinchillas are of the order rodentia. Order lagomorphs are rabbits, pika, etc. hope that's helpful! 😃
you're right. Chinchillas do belong to a specialised subgroup of rodents and i had confused them for a breed of rabbit which is named after them, so i appreciate the correction!
