Rachel Cohen, the lawyer who loudly quit Skadden when the firm decided to preemptively offer the Trump admin free legal services, has noticed something: the firms that bent the knee to MAGA are now being hired by Big Biz to negotiate corporations’ surrender terms (er, deals) for Trump’s takeover.

This was my take when I heard Intel used Skadden for the 10 billion stake "deal". Seems to be a huge conflict of interest at best. WTF?

The public ritual of institutional humiliation, in other words, was a signal that not only are these lawyers eager to work for fascists, generally - but also that they are *able* to negotiate with *these specific* fascists to ensure corporations’ continued profitable existence. It’s advertising.
