Henderson suggests the S.U.M. is a good example of the USG investing in businesses. Uhh. You mean the SUM run by William Duerr? Mmkay. He also says that the USG, but I guess he means STATE govts. He says early canals etc all received govt investment. Has he heard of the Panic of 1837?
