It must be dispiriting being on the right wing of British politics; each new leader is presented as the new messiah. Johnson, Truss,Trump, Farage. They distrust experts but have their own; Minford, RFK, Barrett. All wrong, serially, and yet their every pronouncement is greeted as definitive.

Yet the media continue to treat them as serious people in touch with reality, that's the problem.
