This is gut wrenching to see. I’m a newly minted elementary school teacher and parent to two children under 12. It’s sad when active shooter drills have to be a part of our curriculum. WTF? When the thought of such event crosses my mind, I wonder if police work is a safer occupation. This is sad.

We now have to wait for an all clear before leaving our rooms for a fire drill. I did work in a school that had lockdowns every other week. It was a really dangerous area
