It's a shame as I wanted to come to Disney World again this year to celebrate my 25th anniversary, being given the all clear from cancer after 5 long years and my son turning 16. However when Trump won last November that idea was taken away. I couldn't risk it. But I will not be silenced

I don't want this to sound facetious, but if you'd like your son to enjoy the fun without the risk, Disneyland Paris is great, and so much easier to navigate. Food's better too

After all the loss of tourism because of ICE, TSA, tariffs and the huge losses from Snow White, I don't think Disney will have a Disney World much longer.

Lots of other Disney parks but really only 1 Disney World. Also the point is I love visiting the USA. We stay for 3 or 4 weeks do 2 weeks Disney the 2 weeks of other things. I'd like to think we bring tourist $ into the US.
I am so sorry that you had to postpone you trip (congrats on 5 years of no cancer!). If I were not from this country, I too, would be worried. This too shall pass at some point, and then come to the US. Just know that more than half of US citizens cannot stand Felon 47, we are decent people.
I know I have family who live in the States and the majority of people I've met there have been amazing. It's just a sad sad mess.
It is a sad mess. I live about about an hour away from the Canadian border, we typically go to Penticton every summer. Love lake Okanagan and Lake Skaha and the many wineries.
Euro Disney? Also if you want to be WOWED Tokyo or hong kong Disney especially as a gift to yourself Florida is a nightmare since covid- Disney is not the same 🍻 👏 to your cancer free status👍

Or one of the other amusement parks. Japan's roller coasters have gotten a lot better because they like the Hyper-Twister and Giga-Twister styles. (Where the loops and turns are a lot smoother than the old-style steel coasters.)
If you want to go to the beach, go to Cuba, just to spite Trump extra hard.

Not the same though, and I must admit I like the sun and have family in Florida who I haven't seen for such a long time. Paris is unpredictable for weather but it is an option. Looking at some other fun places to go for a week or two.

You have great reasons to celebrate. I can't tell you how much it hurts my heart every time I learn about another person detained illegally. Or the people currently held in El Salvador prisons with no legal help. Or the little kids that have been handcuffed and taken. Now, it's legal.

I highly recommend the Disney parks in Tokyo. Since your son is older, Disney sea would probably be the better option, but both are great. Sorry Disney world got knocked off the table.
