You know when America was at its greatest point? In the 1920s when tariffs on countries was not a problem! Other countries tariff America, so why can't America tariff them?
It was a Federal Appeals Court that made this decision so that is a bit more than just a Federal court. Who, besides Trump Admin, says the decision threatens government revenue and businesses? Many businesses and consumers are threatened by tariffs. Why should consumers have to pay taxes & tariffs?

The government never had this revenue stream before and an actual budget for the coming fiscal year has yet to be passed, continuing resolutions don’t contain tariff revenue Secondly the tariffs would slow the economy reducing tax revenue

IIUC the ruling was based on the law/act used to enact tariffs. I think it likely SCOTUS will rule that while Congress has the authority to enact tariffs the fact that it didn’t strike them down means the body isn’t at issue with them precisely bc it declined to strike them down
With that kind of reasoning they could just say well Congress wasn't all that concerned about pedophile rapists being hidden from the public so why would we back a fully legal request that all of the FBI files on Epstein be released to congress? If Congress is okay, why would we challenge?

Roberts has rendered SCOTUS moot & while I believe his intent was to follow the constitution (as in power only in the hands of wealthy white men) he never envisioned the gross monstrosity of Trump. Roberts created the legal mishegas we are in & doesn’t have what it takes to reverse course.
