Fall is approaching, drought is persisting, tree leaves are dried and falling prematurely from the lack of rain, cool nighttime temps are a relief from this summer's extreme heat. Deer season will begin soon and the woods around us will ring with gunfire. The skull in this image is from a deer we found dead on our property, the victim of a poor shot from next door. I'm not against hunting, if done responsibly.
