Our party still the best hope we have. Direct your wrath at the GOP. Let’s get Dems back in power and THEN push them left. We cannot win without them.

Actually, I'd say shortly after the election like now is the best time to push them left. Apart from anything else, you need to counter the voices saying that they lost because they need to go further right
But in SOME places that is true. Some red place candidates need to be centrist. We need to be be strategic in where we invest. We need to refer sets we can FLIP. THAT is the FIRST priority. We need to be smarter than we’ve been.
"be centrist" is utterly flawed though because a lot of people are falling towards far-right parties because they aren't interested in a continuation of the last 40 years of neo-liberalism.
No one is suggesting we try to lure the far right. Most people want a higher minimum wage, healthcare, equal rights. That is the center
Yes, they are suggesting trying to lure the far-right. They are doing this by attacking trans people and immigrants. www.nbcnews.com/nbc-out/out-... www.npr.org/2024/10/29/n...
You remember how the Harris campaign was making a lot of progress with commenting on how weird MAGA is? And then they abandoned that to instead say that MAGA is 'justified concerns' and to campaign alongside Liz Cheney? That was centrism.
That’s not how I recall it at all.
You don't recall the Harris campaigning with Liz Cheney?
Of course I do. It was not a bad move trying to get “never Trumper” libertarians and old school GOP to abandon Trump based on their “morality”. Sadly it didn’t make a difference, as racism and misogyny were insurmountable last election.
So when you said you don't recall the democratic party embracing the right-wing, that was a lie. Besides, do we want the "old-school republicans"? Do we even know if those exist anymore? Do you really think that nobody was pushed away from Harris by this campaigning?
"racism and misogyny was insurmountable" Then maybe she shouldn't have specifically aligned herself with openly racist and misogynist politicians.
