That's true but it also seemed like he was trying really hard not to be aggressive or confrontational, and while some of that might have been misplaced niceness it's hard not to wonder if he was coached to play it safe. His reaction at the end was good, it's a shame he didn't start off like that.

Again go watch his governor debates that is what he is like as a debater and that is why he told Harris I am bad at debates in VP interview. At the end his reaction was good but that was clearly a staged line they told him to say. In hindsight he should have just called Vance a pedo supporter.

Fair; I don't care if the line was staged, it's normal to prepare attacks, I just wish they had opened with that. If he runs in 28 (as he seems to be considering) I hope he gets better debate coaches. And they did seem to keep him under wraps later in the campaign (and dropped "weird"), big mistake.
