Our social services system degrades people and grinds them down, and keeps everyone who has a job scared and compliant. It needs to be rebuilt. But by implementing the Robodebt Royal Commission recs we can at least limit the system's harms. That's what the Greens' bill would do.

It's amazing the so-called party of workers, the Labor Party, wants welfare to be as punitive and violent as possible. They don't want a safety net, they don't want a safe period to retrain and regroup, they want to violently enforce poverty on people.
