At worst (best) he’s in a coma. If he’s dead Vance is already president. No reason to keep that quiet.

The US is vulnerable if the Commander in Chief is unconscious. A reason to be quiet. If he’s dead it’s automatic. Just have to have a SCOTUS judge swear Vance in.
