I understand that, and I like the guy. I have lovely relatives who believe the fairytales. I just don't get why they haven't died out (I also know my stance on this is unpopular).
I think your stance is actually quite popular. We should acknowledge that even non-“religious” people believe in all kinds of “fairy tales.” Just because they are newer doesn’t make them otherwise.

Given that the gop and even trump use the language of Christianity, and that some senators are probably wrestling with their consciences over the bill, I think it’s appropriate language to use. If they grew up believing that morality springs from the book, Warnock’s reminder could help.
