Jeff Bezos founded Amazon in 1994, one year *after* Clinton raised taxes on the ultra rich and corporations. The idea that someone might think, "Oh, I won't try to start a company because I would only top out at a net worth of 200 million rather than 200 billion", is insanely divorced from reality.
Moreover is there any evidence that Bezos’ wealth ballooning over the last decade had anything to do with work *he* did? Incentives don’t matter when you aren’t even responsible for growing the wealth!

You see, the reasoning is that if you take money away from rich people they will not work. If you take money away from poor people they'll be more productive. Maybe they can take all the money from the rich so that they'll be incentivized to work harder.
