My own district that buys apps without asking parents or staff if it's going to be useful. Then they go cheap on the training And later, 'You people aren't using this thing we spent big money on!!!' And even later, they quietly get rid of something they should never have wasted tax dollar on

School Districts spend money like drunken frat bois... I'm amazed that tax payers let them get away with the fraud and waste

My district in TX did this with expensive packaged programs that we were required to teach. Huge amounts of money spent, each one would be touted as the panacea for all the ills of education. Then, it would quietly slip into obscurity and the next big idea would appear.

When I retired, I hauled tons of manuals, charts, books out to the dumpster because they were all leftovers of these programs. Horrible waste of tax dollars.

Change management is the best way to ensure that software adoption works and almost zero organizations are willing to pay for it. It’s crazy to me.
