Do you have to dig up the bulbs every year or are do they stay in ground in the PNW?

There are 2 schools of thought on that… we don’t dig ours up and they continue to do great every year. I’ve heard they won’t last as long, but I like low maintenance gardening.

So they don't need to be dug up due to frost? In my old growing zone (USDA 6b) we would have to dig them ups at the end of each season or they would die from frost
