Ok.. so… The mentality within the furry community, etc that you have to accept ALL fetishes bugs me… Not every fetish is harmless… Some are very much the opposite.. especially when people ignore consent… I know.. I’ve been on the receiving end of it.. And no, I don’t tolerate those fetishes now..
In the kink community there are two concepts I *love*! "Your kink isn't my kink, and that's okay." People are going to have different kinks & fetishes. "Don't yuck other people's yum". It's OK and normal not to like a thing, but don't go looking to ruin others' experiences. 1/2
I take the approach of… “Your kink isn’t my kink, if you deliberately invade my personal space with it I WILL ask you kindly keep it away from me.. And “I will yuck your yum if you don’t back off when I ask..” I’ve had some personally traumatizing experiences thanks to some peoples behaviour..
Right! You set a boundary, and made it super clear you want nothing to do with that fetish, and someone deliberately puts it in your space, that's a boundary violation for sure!
There are a ton of really dangerous kinks out there, too. I really like "safe, sane & consentual" concept, too! So yeah, totally OK not to like some! 😁👍 2/2
Hmmnn... I feel like I need some extra context for this discussion but also I don't want to make you recall too much trauma..
Being deliberately vague because there’s an entire subset of the furry community that will jump down my throat if I specify which fetishes in particular I’m talking about.. Because heaven forbid you compare them to ANOTHER group of people nobody likes for good reason..
