How did he get it? Is malaria now a possibility in the US? I thought it was only in other parts of the world, like some places in Africa, China…

Thanks. That is what I was concerned about. I think it needs to get a news cycle or two and also a plan developed for how it is going to be managed to prevent others from getting it; and let ppl know symptoms to watch for.

In Europe we had long malaria epidemics, as far as Northern Germany, last time in 1918. Better health care, draining swamps, and mosquito control worked, but draining the swamps now causes other enviromental problems. Renaturation, floods, higher temperature, Mosqs in luggage/planes -
