The important thing is that I’m learning I wasn’t the only one to click the link despite being suspicious
I feel a bit stupid though - I rarely fall for phishing. I googled the sender, got a reply to my email. It felt a bit iffy, but I often receive emails like this from publishers asking to update details etc.
It's definitely a phishing scam.
I changed my password instantly!!
This one is pretty bad and automates responses; don't feel bad, it's manipulative! Changing your password is best plan of attack, as it seems built just to snatch passwords. And if you have two factor authentication it can stop any attempts.
