I listen to The All-in Podcast from time to time, and the drift rightward of the average host is obvious, driven by the dishonest argumentation of David Sacks. I listen to Sam Harris from time to time, and his consistently well-reasoned, non-doctrinal perspective is refreshing.
I don't always agree with him, but I can always see the honesty in his rationale. He's generally leftwing, but characterised differently by people who require purity tests. The places he fails those tests are due to the conflict between ideals and practice, and I don't attack allies for that.
